You should always inflate to the max psi when cold (prior to your trip). Yes the psi will increase as the tires heat up from road friction and the heat of the day, but this is accounted for. If you were way low on tire pressure it could be the cause of blowouts, and 6 lbs light will definitely be a factor, but I would assume it has more to do with your loaded weight and full tanks. The load range E would be maxed out with a loaded trailer based on the weight.

The issue is that the ride quality at the rear of a RV/fifth wheel is MUCH rougher than at the rear of a vehicle. This is due to much nicer suspension being used on vehicles and also much shorter distances between the rear axle of the vehicle and the rear bumper. The longer this distance is the more pronounced and exaggerated the bumps are when you hit them similar to how the back seats in a bus are the roughest.
